Kā vīrakos kūpinot sapņus,
Kalni slīd vientuļi līdz.
Kāds klausijās mākoņu stāstos,
Kaut sapņi ir austrumu vīns.

Kaut izkliedz austrumu notis,
Jo dvēsele vientuļa klīst.
Ar patiesām asarām naktīs,
Tā vīrakiem lido vien līdz.

Ar degošiem kalniem nāk saule,
Jo vientuļas dzīves šeit nav.
Un drebošām acīm vien lūdzies,
Kaut sapņu ir austrumos daudz.
